players code of conduct

1. Understand the laws of the game and play by them.

2. Be punctual and prepared for all training sessions and games. (Equipment on, water, ball, dressed appropriately, stretched).

3. Cooperate and be respectful to all coaches, teammates, opponents, and match officials.

4. Support your teammates, Club members, teams and coaches.

5. Be gracious in victory and dignified in defeat.

6. Do not talk to fans during matches.

7. Do not argue with officials.

8. Talk to opposing players should be limited to congratulations and offers of assistance.

9. Do not use abusive or profane language.

10. Fighting or physical violence will result in a mandatory suspension; fighting after a suspension may result in dismissal from the Club.

11. Verbal threats, threats of violence and/or Bullying of any type will not be accepted and can result in suspension or dismissal from the Club.

12. The CCFC board will review the status of any player who is ejected from two games in a 12-month period or accumulates excessive cautions.

13. No consumption of alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs.

14. Any player, who is ejected from a soccer match must have that incident documented by the team manager(s) within 48 hours of the incident. The documentation will be submitted to the CCFC Executive Board and for review and action. The CCFC Board will review the status of any player who is ejected from a game.

15. Coaches have primary responsibility for addressing violations by players. The Coaching Coordinator has the primary responsibility for addressing violations by coaches. Team managers have primary responsibility for addressing violations by parents, in consultation with the CCFC Board member responsible for the age group involved. The Executive Board will address serious or repeated violations.

16. Sanctions that may be imposed include, but are not limited to, reprimand, suspension from team or Club activities and facilities, and in extreme cases, expulsion from the Club. Anyone expelled from the club, for any reason, will not be eligible for a refund and will still be responsible for any unpaid fees. When appropriate, the Board of Directors will report violations to Indiana Soccer (IS) and US Youth Soccer Association (USYSA). CCFC will support and impose all sanctions recommended or imposed by IS or USYSA.
